yea i agree but...... i need something Fast but at the same time i want room for a nice set up i want to do a 06 xxx 18 when it comes out in june but im still confused on a car...... when i say fast i mean nothing less than 500 horses..... I got a motor already 620 hp i just need to find the right car to put it in maybe a 79 monte carlo if i get lucky and find one in good shape around here i will redo her and put the xxx in there i dunno yet though

Fast and heavy *** sub boxes are not often gonna go hand in hand...

My Crown Vic cornered better, rode better and drove faster when I took out my 150lb sub box. MY 924s porsche is gonna get no more than a single ported 12", a compset and ONE amp to power it.

Less weight equals more speed. I'm basically going to do a ton of work to get the sub box basically on the floorpan of my Porsche to decrease the high center of gravity a box thrown in the back hatch would mean.

agreed but its going to be a daily driver so im going to make it to my comfort as much as possible and then worry about performance

I'd think an 18" XXX would mean much more pain than comfort IMO...

i can guarantee you wont fit an xxx 18 in the back of that car, without a wall. theres just too much mounting depth. i dont think the well is even 18 inches from front to back anyway. even a 15 i'd be iffy about. those things are massive.

my car runs 11.3 on nitrous and slicks, but its my daily driver, only sees the track a couple times a year. when i go, i pull the system. even with the system, my g-tech tells me im still running 11.5, but the handling is affected, its a bit harder to keep it pointed straight if i throw it sideways.

Who knows? I'd personally not use pioneer subs....

But that's me. I'd say the ported box is louder... Maybe. Some subs **** in ported boxes that God didn't intend for them.
