any1 no where a good site to buy a nice box is from? I haven't found any that will fit the square 15" solo-baric besides an off-brand that was not ported or anything special. Does this sub sound better ported or just open?

Have Moe Lester, Jmac, etc build or design(you build) you a box. Dont buy prefab. You will be disappointed if you do.
