Which will be louder?

I'm trying to decide between 2 hdc312's or 1 hdc315 for a daily application and I need some help.

Both setups would be ported, and in an box tuned to the optimal specs. This will also be in a trunk car and powered by an AQ2200D amp.

With all that in mind, which setup, in your opinion would be louder overall?

Do you know what cone area is?

And also, the more motor strength, the "better".

2 12"s, more cone area, but the 15" will probably gett the lows a little better. that being said im not saying the 12"s cant get the lows.

I highly doubt that.

Would the amp I have give them adequate power? I know on the site it says 1k watts rms, but I've read that they are capable of handling way more power than that daily.

2200 watts on the pair of 12s would probably be louder and also put alot less stress on the subs.

4 cubic feet net tuned to 40 hertz with around 64 - 72 square inches of port area.
