Under normal circumstances the 18 only has 3 because its a bigger sub then a 15 and the rest of its suspension is supposed to sorta make up for not having 4 spiders. Thats the explanation i got from Scott. For extreme situations like 12,000 watts on one sub for burping you would definitly want more spiders.

4 k daily will work as long as you dont let it rip for over 5- to 10 minutes at a time.

i doubt ill ever get 2 more amps, im MORE than sure the 2 memphis amps i have is going to be MORE than enough for me, daily. this box was built for daily, not competing, so....

but ya i usually only jam for like 5-15 min at a time, 15-20 is rare though...i dont drive far distances at a time.
