It is my first time working with leather seats..

I just got a new vehicle recently and it got leather seats so I need some advice on which product should I get for leather care?

My dad is telling me that all of them are the same lol, but I thought I d give it a try by asking you guys so I can get the right one or whatever

I was looking at "total interior care" by turtle wax ICE which comes with a microfiber towel.. But I didnt buy just yet until I get some advices on which one to get for my vehicle..

any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

tinted windows will help with the life span of your seats. the sun can do some harsh shit to your seats and after time will cause cracking and such.

oh and keep sharp object away from your seats.

yeah will do..

I plan on tinting my front windows to match the rears..

probmxstyle- thanks for the advice? would you recommend anything that i could get from the department stores?

dove soap and pledge hears how you do it. Let it desolve for 2 complete days, in a CLEAN PLASTIC bucket with 16 ounces watter. Use a small sponge, that is easy for you to work with, and control. Squeeze out the excess water, so it doesn't run all over. Use circular & lifting motions.Work on a small section at a time. Again for control ! With patience and proper application you should be pleased.

When it's clean, and I mean CLEAN, and the weather is NOT damp outside, and you have done a final damp paper- towel wipe off to rid the surface of all soap residue.... (this is important) - then, and only then - get yourself

a roll of ether VIVA or BOUNTY paper towels (the highest content of cotten paper towels, means the softest) and a can of spray PLEDGE. Spray an area no larger

then 1 person sits in, from a height of 12 inches with a fine mist spray of Pledge (Brown Can - NO **** LEMON)! Immediately (no waiting) wipe off the Pledge with the Viva paper towel, turning the towel to the dry side, or taking

new, to "wipe up" the Pledge.

I just a use a razor to shave off the 5 o'clock shadow.

If you don't want to order the good stuff, I would go with either Mothers Leather Conditioner or Lexol leather conditioner. Most parts stores should carry them.

http://www.lexol.com/auto.html
another guy on my other forum suggested zaino.. i think i m convinced about zaino so i probably would order it..

but how do you think the mothers leather conditioner would compare to this zaino z10 or z9?

let me know, thanks

p.s. also how long would one bottle of z10 or z9 last me? and how often am i supposed to apply those s hit?

update: actually I am totally into zaino products website right now.. sounds so good that I am considering buying the whole kit for 120 bucks anytime soon lol and hope to get to do all of those this spring..

many thanks for your suggestion, probmxstyle!

Connolly Hide Care Leather Kit. Made in England. They are recommended by some of the finest auto manufacturers. The kit costs around $50. If that is too steep then just buy the conditioner (it comes in a jar). There are other products I think are very good as well. Lexol's leather conditioner is what I have been using lately. They have cleaning wipes that work well if you are in a hurry, they have conditioner in them. I also like 3M.

For cleaning leather, on all my cars I try to use warm water and a soft towel most of the time. Best not to use any chemicals to clean unless you have a stain that won't come out with water.
