Which sub is the best overall out of the following?

Rockford Fosgate Hx2

JL Audio 12W3v2

Alpine 12" Type-R

Phoenix Gold Ti

Inifinity Kappa Perfect 12"

I know I already had a thread similar to this one, but I added a few different subs and took out some as well.

I want good SQ as well as nice clean bass.

All of these will be dual in a sealed enclosure.

Honestly, I'd say two Shivas would do the job better for less cash. But out of those, I'd say the W3v2s.

id go 4 the JL's as well..... JL's do have good sq and spl in sealed box.....but when u port them they r awsome spl beasts.

So I can scratch the Kappa's, Type-Rs, and Hx2s off of the list? How do they JLs compare to the L7? I heard they were completely opposite subs... The L7 is a real big SPL sub but the W3v2 is a real big SQ sub...

You want comparable or BETTER performance for the near the same or less price.

My personal choice would be either 2 12" SE's or 2 12" LI's, either would outperform those listed above! Do a search on either and u'll find plenty of info about them...peace

Ok... But sticking with the subs I mentioned or any other "mainstream" sub you guys can think of what is the best overall sub.. Good SQ and good SPL. The reason I want to stay mainstream is because if I have to take my system into a shop for something they would probably know more about the mainstream companies more than a company they have never heard of.

Eh? Who cares if the shops don't know anything about some of the underground companies. Just do the install yourself and you'd be much more satisfied. I'd say if you want mainstream, get some W3v2s. If you want underground, get Shivas.

Ok... Well if I screw up or something. I mean I have no clue how to do anything. Wireing or any of that crap. I was thinking of maybe taking it to the shop to get installed unless you guys can tell me better... Are an of the RE subs better than the Adire?

Ok well I would much rather stay mainstream. I feel much better off buying a set of subs I have actually heard of and I have heard others by that company. So I have made my mind up to stay mainstream.. So what would you guys recommend mainstream?
