What does an 8455 retail for at a shop?? What does a P9 retail for?? I think you'll find that its NOT that much more if you're a person in pursuit of the BEST sound. I got my combo 1300 which is probably twice as much as the 8455 but of course that is including the DEQ-P9.

The 8455 retails for $649 I believe. What is retail on the P9(and how much better than the 8455 would it be without the DEQ-P9)

Saying it isn't "that much more if you're a person in pursuit of best sound is meaningless. You(nor I) can say what "that much more" is to some other person.

Hell, to some, a $100k car might not be "that much more" than an $80K car. That is entirely subjective.

It might not be, but to some, it could be. That is my point. If not, then we could just say well the F1 status should be considered even if the person only has an $800 budget.

$800 authorized?(and then it doesn't have the features the eclipse would have unless you add the processor).

To equate value, when you say how great the p9 combo is(I don't doubt that), you have to factor in the cost of the deck and the processing, imo.

My parents bought me one, i didnt like it to much.

Ive only used 1 Eclipse and it was in the store, but that was 6 years ago.
