Which Model Optima Battery Fits in place of my stock battery?

I drive a 99 Honda Civic and have seen similar cars with an optima battery in place of the stock. I was wondering if any knows or has the same battery in their civic. If so what model is it and do I have to do any modification?

You really dont have to do any mods a regular yellow or red top should fit or you can buy smaller models if i can remember right. Hope that helps

You will want to use the Red Top for your under the hood battery. The dedicated stereo system battery's are the Yellow Top's, and the Blue Top's are for marine use.

Thanks for the information but My question still hasnt been answered. I need the model number for the optima battery that would fit in place of my stock one? I know that it has been done and have seen pictures....both red top and yellow top. Someone out theres gotta know.

They are not vehicle specific...ask for a Red Top and it will fit your vehicle.

no, in a civic, their battery are alot smaller tha normal.. a normal battery wont fit in place.. i actually emailed Optima Batteries the other day about this..they said that they onlly have a yellow top that will fit..when.. for the engine.. u need the red top.. yellow top is for long play, radio.. so , you prob need to email Optima, off their website.. and ask them more about it..

I seen a civic with a yellow top in auto sound mags dec 2002 issue and also on car domains website. And it was in place of its stock. I looked up both measurements fro red top (Model 34) and yellow top (model D34). Both dimensions LxWxH - 10"x6.8"x7.8". I dont have a problem with the lenght or height.... Its the width thats a little bit close.
