A friend of mine is looking to build a removable Sub box for his Forester so he can take it out when he needs to haul stuff. He is thinking about using a D-sub 9-pin connector(like those found on your pc). Idk what he should use, and for some reason he doesn't want to use rca jacks... What are his options?

The only thing going from the amp to the box should be speaker wires, not RCA cables. There are tons of different types of quick disconnect terminals for speaker wires. Search around.

all I did was use 2 pieces of wire, and put terminals on each side, haha this is gonna sound stupid but I cant think of the names of them

just the terminals that u slide into eachother and I just put opposite terminals on each end of the cables so that u cant get them mixed up or so that u dont have to look at the cable to plug it in :p

sorry...I know thats not very clear but its cheap and easy....I couldnt explain that very well
