WHICH JL AMP G1700 or the Slash 500/1

I am putting 2 10w3's in my escalade truck under the back seats. I need to know if the 700 watt will be too much for 2 10 w3's. Its either the 700 watt or the 500.. any help would be great. Thanks.

I would go with the 700wrms amp the sub's are rated a 300rms each that's

600rms and more power would be better than under power'd, Because they

wont clip as fast... Hope that helped

I just put the stealthbox in a 07 Sierra which contains 2 10w3'S and I went with the JL HD750/1 amp, BUT just so you know I AM NOT satisfied with the results, not for how much it cost! I spent close to $2000 on it, and I'm fixing to do something different. I have thrown together better stuff for less than $800, but when you get yours done let me know how its is, maybe there is something wrong with mine!

My guess would be that the Stealthbox was a sealed one that was more than likely too small for the 10w3s.... As a result they sound great from 50Hz to 80Hz, but anything below 50 disappears fast. This is one of those situations where you pay a lot for something that fits but it doesn't sound the greatest.

I've owned two stealthboxes. I had one in my 2000 F150 extended cab, and it sounded pretty good for a pair of 8s off of a Punch 250a2. I also have one in my 2006 Mustang GT for the 13w6v2, and it sounded tons better than Ford's Shaker 1000 dual 10" subwoofer offering and takes up the same amount of space.

The stealthbox for my truck just didn't have the deep end bass that I was expecting and for the price it for sure wasn't worth what it cost. Since, I have upgraded to a 13W7 and a 1000/1V2. Now I have the deep end bass I was looking for but I had to sacrifice the small portion of my back seat.
