Which head unit to keep?

Hey,

I currently have two stereos and need to choose which one to keep (other is getting sold with a car):

1) 3 year old Kenwood Excelon KDC-X598

2) Brand new Kenwood KMM-BT315U

I have no idea which one is better. I know that the 598 has 4v preouts and the 315 has 2.5V, but that's foreign language to me. Stereo will be going in a VW gti (with monsoon).

I think KMM-BT315U is better for you.

the 3 year old one has only bass mid and treble to control your audio

the other has 13 whole bands of EQ which lets you really fine tune your audio along with many other audio options.

So if you are a complete noob at advanced audio tuning, keep the 3 year old one for simplicity. If you want tuning and adjustment options then the new one would be miles better.

If you use CDs, then the older one is the way to go. If you do not use CDs, then the newer one might be better since it is digital media receiver and not a CD player. Also, because the the preamp voltage difference, if you are using an external amp, then the older one will send a considerably stronger signal to the amp...and that is better.
