If you want to get good mpgs on two wheels get a moped

That's not the point. The point is that i would imagine something that isn't a fifth of the weight or size would be getting much better mileage.

may i ask why you don't like the gsxr 600, my buddy has an 07 and i was very impressed with the bike, it could almost keep up with my old bike(05 750).

didn't say i didn't like it, just that is was last on my list. And mainly, because everyone with a 600cc bike has that bike (and i'm sure it's because it's a great bike). I want something different just for the fvck of it

i can understand that but also its popularity will help resale if you decide to upgrade eventually, my first bike was a zx-6r and i liked it so ill vote that way.

Consider that if you're buying a brand new bike from a dealer, you can most likely apply for a manufacturer credit card. For example, if you buy a brand new GSX-R600, you can put it on the Suzuki card, and you'll only be responsible for liability on the bike, as you've technically bought it outright from the dealer. You'd hold the title in hand, and technically own the bike. That's how most dealers are able to sell bikes to young individuals who would ordinarily not be able to afford full coverage on a "racing" bike, according to the insurance companies.

For what you want to do...Only one answer...Suzuki SV650S...Period. Awesome machine...Cheap insurance...Corners like a crotch rocket..and it's comfortable. Ck. one out. I've sold bikes for over 10 years and that's my personal choice for a daily ride.

I love how all you Gixxer guys say....nothing but a gixxer..period. How many of you ride one everyday..year round, etc.? What do you pay for full coverage insurance, etc. for it? Do you ride w/ out a helmet?? (That answers to how well you think) lol. I have ridden since I was 5 yrs. old and I'm 43 now. I have race, ridden, wrecked **** near everything in my time. The bike this guy needs is not a gixxer, cbr600rr, zx6r, etc. But, to each his own. Ride a few then think about 6 hrs. straight on it. how's your back, forearms, etc.? Then call me and I'll spank you on a track w/ a SV650S. Won't that ****???

for your first bike please dont get a 4 cyl... stick with a 650, it will get you from point a to b and be plenty fast. i used to work at a bike shop and saw kids who thought they were tough shit get a 600 and come back literally within 1 week because they wrecked it

edit: get the suzuki sv 650 over the ninja 650, it has better handling
