Which Bike?

I am looking to get a bike mainly for around the city driving since gas is starting to take a toll on the wallet (Primary Vehicle gets 16 eMPeeJeees) and also as something to take out on the weekend just for fun. I have only ridden a bike once, a GSXR600, and it was only at low speeds in a parking lot. Currently strongly considering Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R and 650R, the R6S, and (probably lowest on my list) GSXR600.

Here's a MPG and Price comparison of all of them:

ZX-6R - $9,100 - 9,400. 43mpg

650R - $6500. 51mpg

R6S - $8,500. 42mpg

GSXR - $9,400. ??mpg

I think the ZX-6R looks the best out of all of them, but from a practicality standpoint the 650R seems like the best choice.

If you are looking for something for weekend riding then you should look toward sport touring bikes or cruisers. Crotch rockets are not comfortable unless you are going 15 miles and quitting.

and go with ken's suggestion if you are going to get a sport bike

Suzuki Bandit 600S. Clean bikes, and have lots of power. I just don't like the front fairings.

if you will be taking out a loan on the bike, you will have to have full coverage in the state of FLA
