which amp to use on my 8's?

Yeah, that sounds like a power drainnnn. and the subs may not hit at the same time. Its all good though, does anyone have a real test RMS power on the Punch 100ix i know that little thing is more than 50 rms a channel

I dont know about you but I like both my subs to be seeing equal power.

its not so much that it will be a draw on your electrical system, its still not a lot of power, its the fact that they are 2 different amps and will respond slightly differently to the same signal. meaning the subs will play slightly off and youll have cancellation

Really? I'm running my 4 highs off my head unit and my 2 JL 12w3's off of about 600 watts. I shouldn't have any drain from this when the car is off? As in the alternator not running?

Its not a long term fix just till he gets an amp that will work.

Im going to hook them up if i can't fix this problem with my 12's, but id love to keep the 12's in. Any ideas???

Well like i was saying, i am new obviously, and my two 12's are hooked up to a 600 watt RMS, Sherwood 250x2. I can literally watch it drain my battery when the truck is off, should this be expected because my alternator isn't running, or is something screwed up? It's just a regular battery not a yellowtop=(

An F 250 and you have drops off of 600 rms... man something is jacked up there... Lets not worry about the amps and get your 12's running right!

Yeah, def a problem not running and just using a stock bat. this will happen on any system

With the truck if it still shouldnt drain that fast... my F 150 I had over 1000 in it and I could run it for a long time and it wont go dead...

I mean does it matter whether or not its the truck or the POS battery? Because its a 94' F 250 and i have an extra car batt that i could possibly run my subs off of would that be easier?

Id have the batt tested or just replace it then go from there...

or just dont play the system with the vehicle off before you start cooking amps.
