which amp for hdc318

I had 2 bl18's with 2 sundown 1500ds in expedition for while, and guy called me up wanting to trade me his new yfz450 for it so we traded. Anyway now Im looking to get started on next system. Im want to stay with 18s again. Just for daily beater, no contest and have plenty of room. I have powermaster up front now, HO alt, and already have 2 runs of 1/0 in truck now. I want to run 4 audioque hdc18s, but can only get 2 audioque 2200ds right now. I see people running alot more power to these subs, will 2 2200's be decent power for these since just daily driving? Or should I just run 2 18s and 2 2200s

the subs would move... but theyd really wake up with more power. i've got well over 2k each on mine and they would take a little more, they dont even get warm unless i clip them.

even for just the 2 2200s, i'd say you be wanting at least 2 more batteries in the back.

thanks, i just ran the powermaster 3100 up front, and another one in the back before with the 2 1500ds. I was planning to get 2 this time for the back. Maybe i can come up with the cash for 2 3500ds. LOL

For the time being the system will still be pretty nasty w/ the 2 2200Ds, it just will have plenty of headroom if u wanna upgrade the amps in the future. As far as electrical i'd have a nice batt under hood + 2 more in back just for the amps.

4 HDC3 18s w/ 4 2200Ds would be pretty sick if u chose to go that route.

it's been on a 2amp maintainer ever since i pulled it out of my truck so it should still be just fine. rests at 13.4v or so and load tested ok after i took it out.

this is the plan, but change to 2 aq 3500ds later instead of the 4 2200ds. I think i would have to change voice coils to go with 4 2200d's?

its not really an issue until i sale my yfz450. then im starting everything. I probably go ahead and order the subs now while they are $250 each.
