Which amp do you think? AB, Cactus 5k, IA40.1, or D9.

So im in a debate with myself, i know these amps are closely related. But im hoping somebody can give me some info that will help me decide which to run.

Im gonna be running on 4 15s at .5ohm. Its between an American Bass VFL500.1, Cactus Sounds 5k, Incriminator Audio 40.1, or an RD D9. I have the electrical to back any one of these amps so thats not an issue. Its mainly a daily pounder I play music on a daily basis. And i will be competing from time to time but not more than like 10 times a year.

what's your competition based on? watts, sub size, etc? the D9 is my favorite 900 watter.

Local comps nothing real big time. Usually based off amount of subs. Will be doing bass race with it more than not.

Maybe its me and someone can confirm this for me. But to me it looks like the D9 guts are a little beefier than the other amps I stated. One big difference i see, is there is a full additional row of caps in the D9 over the rest.

D9 is my pick too...

D9 is based on a Zenon board, but I believe that it was significantly upgraded over "normal" versions. The guts are beautiful for sure...and it runs daily at .5 without breaking a sweat. I've played music very loud at .25 ohms also (as well as burping it)...although I wouldn't recommend it.

Whichever you can get for cheaper. I've always wanted a 40.1 so if I had to choose I'd go with IA.

So it seems that the D9 is in the lead. Im pretty sure Im sold. D9 its gonna be unless some convincing opinions say other wise.

if it was me i would take the 40.1. the 500.1,40.1, and the d 9 are all going to perform very simular. they are all very close.

id say d9 as well..
