Well, considering it is a fully loaded BTL, you will have no issues putting 3K to her. The AQ does about 2950 at 14.4 at 1 ohm and the build quality of the Hifonics and AQ are the same. What kind of budget do you have for amp and do you have the electrical for this power?

IIRC, he said build quality. You know, mechanically placed components that are wave soldered into the circuit board.

I would hope the SQ of an AudioQue is better. No offense, but from what I have heard from the Brutus line, it is the bottom of the barrel. Don't get me wrong, Hifonics is good for the money you spend, but there are better amplifiers out there.

The Hifonics and AQ amps are extremely similar construction but when you look at the boards there are slight differences in component locations and a few other things.

I have no problem running Hifonics but to say they are the same just ant right

Build Q might look the same but there are better parts in the AQ by far + he said it

only made 2950 @ 14.4v Audioque says 3500 @ 14.4 what the crap? http://www.audioque.com/aq/AQ3500D.htm ... That has to be with voltage drop @ 2950 not 14.4v

I have never had the pleasure of dealing with an AQ amp, so I can't say anything negative about them. If someone were to give me a Hifonics Brutus, I would sell it on this forum for a profit

I considered the Hifonics XXV line for a planned SPL with SQ install, but no one has one of these locally for me to demo

thats bad for me because i was sure finna go and buy 4 hifonics bxi 2608 and chain them with a maxx link line driver

i thought hifonics got better :-(

and i was looking at the circuit board....???

i wonder if the brutus can be modded a bit to get on level with the aq if there are diffrences in sound

You realize you just showed a Sundown 1500D and a Hifonics Brutus amp and said they looked the same. That wasn't an AQ amp.

Another guy saw it and said he wouldn't use either. Am I missing something here?
