Nice PM. Wow, complaining that we (SSA) don't provide discounts that we, by dealer agreement, are not allowed to give. Smart practice, screw the brand and brand value you are "selling" just to make a buck. This is the exact same issue that Sundown had with countless "rep's" whoring out the product well below MAP pricing that they were required to sell. Another shining reason why car audio, as an industry is getting progressively worse.

Because people are starting to pay what the products are worth? The audio world consists of so much snake oil and pure bullshit that it becomes difficult to comprehend. The only thing making sundown even remotely different than anyone else is good support. If he can't maintain that because dealers are selling too much of his product, and selling it for a fair price... thats a shame. The amps themselves are nothing spectacular. It's not an insult, its the truth. Infact, most amplifiers are nothing special, and thats completely fine with me. In fact, almost all the products are based on common designs. You guys should deFinitely know that better than anyone.

I agree, except in the cases (as stated) where there is a signed contract or dealer agreement. Then it's a question of an authorized dealer violating an agreement.

It's also a question of how much the end customer values support, service, and most importantly warranty. That's the biggest reason markup is there at all.
