Playing dumb works well. You know, asking a question you already know the answer to, like directions or what time a class starts, etc. Nothing douchy or creepy like, aye bae you fine let me get them digits. If she responds to the question then be polite, says thanks and that you got to run and simply ask her for number in case you have any more questions later. Works fairly well for me.

Just a simple smile and "Hey, can I get your number real quick?"
