What's your major?

Mechanical Engineering

Michigan Technological University

Probably nowhere because I don't want a degree in mechanical engineering anymore

I'd like to start over completely...in my 5th year after 4 changes of my major

1. Natural Resources Management

2. University of Minnesota Crookston

3. Hopefully I'll be able to make a little bit of money and not have to sit inside all day. Basically the same as deerhunt.

Congrats flipx.

I'm really trying to convince myself to go to a university. It's just a really tough time for me right now. Alot going on. I feel like it's the first time in my life I have to make a major, life-altering decision....and to tell the truth, I'm scared of failure. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Anyone know of a good website to look at different majors and what that major can lead to and such? Just general information on how it all works and such. I feel like such a newb at this shit.

Go up to somewhere like your admissions office and ask for some sort of guide to all the majors the university has to offer. They give a lot of statistics that people find important like average starting pay, what you actually do, and other stuff like student to teacher ratio and what not.

Don't worry...for 80% of you your major will have absolutly no bearing on where you finally land in the job market. That's the way it is at least with all of my buddies and all the people in my office here. My degree and my field are remotely connected but they don't really have a bearing on each other.
