What's up with Pimp My Ride?

Do you guyz actually think that those people that get chosen to get their rides pimped actually drive those cars daily?

Somehow I doubt it. I think they play MTV. I think they're too cheap to buy a car and fix it up, so they go to a junk yard or go to a used car place and get the raggediest car that they can find that still works. And that way maybe a few hundred dollars can turn into a pimped ride worth way more than what they paid for it.

Actually, if they get picked, it was really a good idea.

What you people think?

ya they get picked.... but the thing that pisses me off... is that they let them know they're coming before they come... cuz have you noticed it's always the owner of the car that opens the door... instead of like the little sister or whatever

I don't know. X says sometimes that "they have no idea, but ima bout to pimp her ride." But I can see what your saying too, because it would look real stupid if X showed up and nobody was home, lol.

You think they buy raggedy cars so they'll get picked though? I think some of them do...

I highly doubt it. For one, MTV probably talks to family and friends to see what type of people they are, how long they have had the car, all the "nice" things they do for everyone, etc. Two, the chances of getting picked are slim to none, what kind of broke young person would buy a junker on the chances of getting picked for a TV show?

i was just talking about this same issue, and i think thats what they do... talking about the mustang re-run thats on arent you??

i dont think people drive those things around... i wouldnt.

nah, the one right b4 it. I see I'm not the only one that thinks that.

because maybe you live in the nicer sides of town .... i have alot of friends that drive those types of cars because that's all they can afford... you don't understand how much money you can drop into a 1970's model vehicle and still have it look like crap..

i know i have 8700 bucks in my 79 chevy pickup and it's still in primer... but has nice wheels and motor and stuff....

the cars and people are real i'm sure... they get soo many videos that they wouldn't need to stage any of it...

Nah, no matter where I've lived, I've always lived a street or a block away from tha hood. I see raggedy cars all the time, just not in the shape that some of those cars are in.

Anyway, Mad Mike is a weirdo. He said that the Rockford Titaniums are the most powerful woofers ever made. And with the mustang show, he hooked o'girl up with 2 bass tubes and 2 Coustic amps, and he said that system was "6000 watts of pure power" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Does Coustic even make 3000 watt amps?! and what bass tubes do you know that can hold even 1000 watts? lol..

lol... yea 6000 watts... they say random shit like that all the time. i think they are just messin around. they cant be serious (or they shouldnt be putting that stuff in).

Exactly, I hope they're not serious.

i heard they get picked but they have to sign a contract that says they can't sell their car or parts...

iono thats just what i heard //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif
