what is the difference betweeb amp manufacturers if they put out the same RMS wattage to same ohms and what not
Features, quality of construction, efficiency, customer support, warranty, actual vs. rated power output, regulated vs unregulated power supplies, some such as JL slash and PG Xenon have regulated outputs, etc.what is the difference betweeb amp manufacturers if they put out the same RMS wattage to same ohms and what not
is it better to have a 12.4v or a 14.4v rating? For the most part assuming they are similar products quality wise then there is no real difference. Check what voltage the RMS is rated at....some companies rate the RMS at 14.4 volts and others at 12.4 volts which can make a large difference especially if it is an amp that sucks alot of current and your voltage is dipping into the 12 volt area. There are other features to consider like crossovers etc. For example I would not pay $1000 for a JL 1000/1 when I could get a Diamond 1000.1 for $375.
