What's the deal with Alpine and their "2,000" watt amp?

Wasn't there a thread a while back saying Alpine was coming out with a 2,000 watt monoblock amp?? Am I living under a rock and it already came out??

Just wondering, that's all.

I haven't seen one pop up on here yet...

I'd bet my left nut it actually puts out around 2200-2300 rms at 14.4 volts. Alpine amps are always underrated.
