hello guys i was just wondering if this is a good set up.

please help if can. My budget is 400$ if you can think of

something nice let me know.

what i own right now

- Alpine MRP-M1000 [amp]

(1000W RMS, Class D Monoblock Amplifier)

- 4 gauge [Wire Gauge]

This is what im gonna get

RE Audio SEX12D4 ((Buy Two))

(12" Dual 4 ohm SE-X Series Subwoofer)

what is the diff from a 2ohm and a 4ohm?

the difference between 2 and 4 is that a 2 ohm sub can be wired at 1 and 4 ohms and the 4 ohm can be wired at 2 and 8 ohms, which you need depends on your amp/number of subs that your running

yeh if you get 2 dual 4 ohm subs you can wire them down to one ohm

no bc if im not mistaken the alpine mrp-m1000 is only 2 ohm stable..which means you need (2) dual 2 ohm speakers so you can wire them at 2 ohms.. the amp you have is rated for 1000x 1 channel at 2 ohms so each sub would be getting about 500W depending on your electrical.
