i've seen a bunch of 05 pics and the o5's do NOT have the completely flat bottom like this one, i haven't been able to get pics of pre-05 models...

anyone got t/s spec's by chance for 03 model? i'm pretty **** sure it's no where near the same as the 06+

and check to see if they have older versions of http://www.reaudio.com. I remember the old site has the t/s specs for the older xxxs.

nope. it's an 03 re xxx. though most did have the **** cone with the re logo in the middle and XXX written over it.

Most people think this, but its not true. That style of XXX was made from 03 to 05, and all three years had some differences, although almost exclusively cosmetic. The 03's have the flat back plate, while the 04's and 05's had chamfered back plates. You can tell the difference between an 04 and an 05 because the 05 had a chromed motor and the 04 did not. That's why the 05's are considered the most desireable, cosmetics.
That one is either a late 03 to have that dustcap (not sure if all 03's were **** cone or not), or its been reconed. Its definitely an 03 XXX motor.

04's look like unpolished 05's. Same shape (as far as I know), just not the high-luster finish.
