with the exception that I would never buy anything audio related off the internet....I don't think there is much of an option. While these are both cheap online. Eclipse is generally more expensive but a much better quality. Sony in general...sucks unless you are talking home stereo system.....but you're not. So personally i would go with the Eclipse.

but dude seriously consider looking into shops around your area before you go buying these online. You have no guarantees when you buy things from ebay. Spend the extra money and go to a shop, in the long run you'll be much happier. I promise.

You obviously have very little experience in the mobile electronics field...Sony Mobile ES is VERY good - they dont make that line anymore, however. The CDX-C90 and C910 are rated to be quite possibly the best head unit in terms of sound quality out there.

But on to the topic....I'd personally take the Eclipse, but the Sony is still a very nice HU....but both sellers have low feedback ratings....so if you do decide to get either of them, I'd suggest using an escrow service so you don't get screwed

I do not have a lot of experience with Sony. However, from the little that I do know about it i know that I would much prefer the Eclipse to any Sony. Perhaps personal preference. But I would much more prefer to put my trust into Sony for home stereos and not in my car. That's all i am sayin.

Oh and if any of you can find any info on this head unit I would like to read about. But I can't seem to find anything about it other than reviews. Not even from the Sony site.

perhaps i would know what you are talkin about...when my boyfriend saw the thread he was like "that's an older Sony model, it's a pretty decent HU" oops...still wanna read about it and all i can find are those reviews after searching for at least an hour

Eclipse's prices are actually pretty reasonable this year. they have dropped considerably, and from what i have used, the quality stayed the same if not gone up slightly. I have had the best luck with eclipse over the years. oh, i know this is a car audio forum, but in home audio, denon and HK dominate all.
