What would you do?

Ok, I'm not asking what the best sub is, but I am asking for suggestions. The last time I bought subs, the choices were either Punch or Kicker. I have been searching the forum and there are a whole lot of abbreviations that I have never heard of. (DD, ED, DA, RE...) I did google a few of them but I have absolutely no idea which model I should be looking for so if you could be specific with your suggestions that would be great.

What I am working with...

Lexus IS300.

MB Quart components in the doors and MBQ 6x9's in the rear deck powered by a Memphis 4-channel.

The sub will be powered by a Cadence A7HC.

Let's assume a 1.5cf max of airspace for the sub enclosure. What would you do? I listen to rap, rock, pop and country but I like my music bass heavy.

Let's say a $500 allowance for the sub and enclosure.

10" ported? 12" sealed? (2) 8's? Also, how do you guys feel about Bazookas and slim line subs? And lastly, if your suggestion is a ported/vented box, hhow do you feel about firing the port into the cabin through the "ski pass," which is an opening from the trunk into the back seat. I was worried about "chuffing" or whatever it is called but you guys are the experts.

DD= Digital Designs, ED= Elemental Designs, DA= (not sure, seems I should know this one), RE = Resonant Engineering (REAUDIO.COM), AA = Ascendant Audio, Fi = Ficaraudio.com, IA = Incriminator Audio, DC = DC Sound Labs, and many more as well...

I would have to recommend a 10" ported, I believe the A7 is 1000wrms x 1 @ 1ohm, which would be great for alot of subs out there... I'd shoot a 10" Fi Q as a recommendation, very good SQ oriented subwoofer that still offers very solid output capability... An AA Havoc, or IA Lethal injection or Flatlyne would be good recommendations as well I believe, also the DC Level 3 or 4 would be good performers for your application as well and DD seems to always be a safe bet....

There's so many available out there now that its hard to actually go wrong on the choice as long as the choice is a reputable brand.... I'd see if there's anyone on here that's close enough to demo some equipment for you and see what you like the best....

fiq 12 best for small sealed IMO in that price range but 2cf would be better.
