Right now you have a DVC 2ohm 12" sub sitting in your closet waiting to be used... Money is the biggest concern...

I want 2 12"s in my trunk. However, amplification is the problem. The sub I already have is dvc2ohm, and we all know that 2 dvc2ohm subs can only be wired to .5 or 2ohm. The electrical isn't up to par for .5 ohm. I want to feed each sub about 1000w or a little more. But its alot of money to get 2000w @ 2ohm.

So since you already have 1 of the subs you want. What would you do? Bite the bullet and get a 2000w @ 2ohm amp? Get 2 separate amps and give each sub its own 1000w @ 1ohm? Sell the sub and get 2 dvc 4ohm subs?

The thing i'd least like to do is spend a shitload of money, the 2nd least thing i'd like to do is sell and rebuy new subs. Thanks for the help fellas,

Buy 2 solid 1k at 1ohm amp that can strap and strap them. That is what I would do.

How much you willing to spend bro? You can get a Cadence TXA-1000D for $199 shipped brand new, it does 1,000w @ 1 ohm. Get a couple of those and you will be bangin.

Since you didn't give a budget, I would save and wait for a Kicker zx2500.1 to either pop up in the classifieds or hit ebay up for one under $600.

$600 is too much, pretty much out of the question. If going for 2000 @ 2ohm i would look for something around 300-350$

Then your best bet is to buy used. It's going to be a struggle to find two 1000rms amps at that price as well if you buy new.

Yeah, would definitely be lookin for used. Would it be tough to find 2000w @2ohm from a used amp? like a Crossfire VR2000D or similar?

power acoustik makes some decent amps in that range. they arnt the greatest but they work and are decently priced

there are 2 that are decent, they proble wont do exactilly what they say, but somewhat close to it

you can also strap some of their amps
