If he is in violation of an ordinance or law, let the law handle it. Leave no path for retrobution(sp) by acknowledging his actions personally. He obviously has no regard for others, so don't think by talking to him, it'll stop.

You know I am 35, and have learned countless number of times and when it started to get really expensive, I learned my lesson, NEVER EVER BUMP IN YOU OWN NEIGHBORHOOD! If you do you deserve to get your sh!t pulled! Keep calling the cops and if you don't get anything resolved then cram tampons down his gas filler. If that is to difficult then get a gas can, disolve maybe a 1/2 roll of charmin 2 ply in gasoline may need to chop first then top can off, pour whole contents into tank. If you don't like that then get liquid drano, pour over hood and top off with some kitchen cleanser, with bleach of course... Actually what you want to do is go to your town hall and find out what the noise ordinance is. The police really can't do much...most noise violations are handled through a town's board of health dept (this is a quality of life issue). What you need to do is go there, file a complaint and they can issue a summons. They may even come out and measure the decibel levels. In my town noise cannot exceed normal conversation level (I forgot the exact db this is) from 50 ft. There are also time of day restrictions (not past 10pm for instance).

Noise ordinances differ from town to town.
