What would you do with...?

You're a fanboy because you pretty much have to be. If you spend that much money on a box, you're not going to tell yourself it sucks, you're going to say it's the best thing ever regardless, to justify the purchase. BTW I'm sure they're nice boxes, but if you want to spend $700 on a box, but keep stock speakers, there's a serious problem. Since when did "a system," mean just subs? When was the last time you were at a concert and the only thing you heard was loud *** bass and thought to yourself, yeap this is how music should sound.

Wow... if it was bad, why the **** would I purchase from him again!? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. If i really did pay 800 bucks for a 9500 and SS and it sucked, I would let people know and sell it ASAP. I loved my old setup which is why i'd be willing to buy from John AGAIN. The other aspect of my system is just the way I like it, I like my setup, this 2300.00 is going soley to bass.

You really dont need to spend $2300 on just your substage.......

what about getting loud as shit with one sub?

Maybe an MT 18" with a 20.1 or something along those lines? Would come out much, much cheaper than the four kickers, and power for all of them.

What do you have for your frontstage?

Probably stock speakers or newer coaxials runnign off of the HU.

You're product doesn't have to be good to have fanboys.Pyle, enough said.Pyramid, enough said.

I've heard powered 4 sound BUILT boxes, and I have built some of the DESIGNS.IMHO they are NOWHERE NEAR worth what he charges.I along with a small group of others can design our own that can get louder, or sound better, maybe a combo of both, maybe not.John is not the only person on the earth that can build a good box, period.Sorry.Hate to tell you.Go back to your little fanboy forum where John is god.

Why is it being " a women " (which already makes no sense) when you buy a box from somebody? Because it's a fine built box? Because I've owned one in the past and know how good they sound? Because you've never heard one? That's a pretty sexist comment that has no real correspondence with even being one. I don't need to defend myself anymore, because I and those who've seen and heard them become "fanboys". If his boxes weren't good, he wouldn't have "fanboys" in the first place.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Shut up. Just shut up. You asked, and he told you. Get over it.

While there is nothing wrong with buying a box from someone, don't get but-hurt when people give you suggestions, which is what you were looking for. If you don't want people's opinions, dont ask them, otherwise, shut up. And another thing, don't diss someone's experience until you have actually seen the experience, and if not, again, shut up. Don't go off just to make you look better, or make them look worse. Look where it got you, mad, upset, and but-hurt, and it's just the internet.

There is a fine line between suggestions and flaming someone's work. Mountain man or whatever your name is, I'd gladly pay you to build me a double shot, what's your price? I'm interested to see what you can do since you can get louder and sound better, especially if you charge much less. The only thing is, how big would your boxes be, I've got basically 38" width by 27" deep to work with. I'd rather have 2 boxes as well.

As for you GTIpetra, i'm nowhere close to mad or hurt, i just got done cruising around with my friend and his new 9500 and SS setting off car alarms off 800 watts and had a blast, so unless you've actually seen me mad or hurt... juh, juh juh just shut up, ok, just shut up. SHUT UP! lol, you actually made me laugh by reading your post.

true that...anyways I'm ordering my powerbass xa-3000d tonight, if that's not enough power for 4 12s, then I guess I'm SOL and will find out the hard way. I can't afford another powerbass amp (too many electrical upgrades as it is). As far as a box, or boxes, I'll keep a standard ported box in mind, there is a guy locally who owns a shop who has done some decent work who will charge much less. I just don't like peaky systems, and it's b/w standard ported or modified horns. The doubleshots don't take up much space which is a big + and I like the way they sound. I'm gonna talk to this guy tomorrow and see what he thinks will give me the best response for an SQL setup.
