What would you do if you had an International Scout

I'm buying this from my Teacher at school for a project car.

I have very few mechanical things I need to do to it, most everything needed is cosmetically.

Audio system wise, what would you do?

Sorry, I didnt get a pic of the back, my bad.

Maybe I can snag one tomorrow.

But anyways, what would you do audio system wise.

I was thinking the deck between the steats in a custom made arm rest, deck mount type thing, and then a fiber glass pod under where the deck should be.

Because where the deck should go in the dash, is where the push button start, blinkers, and choke are going.

Well I dont plan on anything major to it.

Its got the I4, so its that 3spd motor thats low geared like a tractor, so its gonna be my hill hopper.

I just want something simple in it and to sound good.

I wish I had pics of the back, because I was thinking single 10 under the back too. Ah pics of the back tomorrow.

I had a '70 800A. It had an original 304 with the 4spd. I miss it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

I never put a stereo in mine.... you'd never get one to sound good..... too much flimsy sheet-metal stuff. You'd have to add a few hundred pounds of deadener to get anywhere //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I'd personally go cheap with high sensitivity speakers and run them off of the h/u, leave plenty of room for gear and spares if you go hard core wheelin'.

well i live a couple miles away so i know its not his now....
lol just a few

Oh, well what about maybe just a pair of 6.5s in the roll bar and leave it at that? It would be something. Or should I consider a different place for them?

but im not going hard core, but it will be a bush whacker........... I cant wait to get it out in the hills to take shooting. my goal is be ready by next summer. all i really gotta do is remove dents, sand blast it, and rattle can it flat black and im good to go.

For audio, I would get a HU made for boats that has a plastic cover that flips over the face to keep moisture out (several companies make them) and a set of waterproof 2 way coax's also made for boats to mount in the doors/kickpanels and call it a day because it doesnt look like it can still have the hard top put back on.

Hah, I have a friend that has one. **** good truck.
If you use yours the way he does his I would put some marine speakers in it. The truck loves water.
no water were i live. lol plenty of dry brush for forest fires though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
