actually not to burst your bubble, but it would never happen. Im friends with about 75% of the guys on Team RF and not a one of them is actually sponsored, they have to pay for every piece of there equipment. Not many companies are sponsoring anymore do the the economy and lack of interest from the public, like spectators.

technically speaking theyre not "sponsored" but they get stuff below cost. and they get their equipment tweaked. how do you think mckinnie runs 18V bd1000's. and he has rockford voltmeters.. when they dont make one...

If you only had a clue....

If im not mistaken the RF 1501d only needs a single chip pulled to run at 18v. Just like the mtx 81000d/1501d. (Yess I've modded a BUNCH of mtx 1501d's) And I GARUNTEE Tommy did that mod himself.

As to his "rockford voltmeters" try fluke rms DMMs.

Also, Shawn does not need you to tell him anything. Shawn has been sponsored longer than I've been in this game - and yes I'm sponsored (lower than competitor rates) as well by two companies.

It actually isnt too bad - usually.

Mainly if they sponsor you, you get stuff just a hair below dealer cost, you have to be an upstanding individual, represent the industry well, and sell product for the company your sponsored by. Usually there are no contracts either so it's cool.

I had a sponsorship with carsponsorships.com and I would have been able to get things for 60% off or more (most free), but my car audio stuff got stolen, and my car is all screwed up...So thanks alot to whomever stole my stereo...I am out 3K, and lost an amazing sponsorship!
