what would be louder than a 15" xxx off of 1500 watts

Havent adjusted it yet, but in case I cant get the sound to my liking, Im looking for suggestions. Amp is a viper 2500, 1500 at 4 ohms, 2700 at 2 ohms. What sub or pair of subs would be louder, in the $400 or less price range for either one of the pair? I also thought about just running 4 12"s, like alpine typer or something. Any suggestions?

In other words, you have to be able to get that displacement out of the XXX? Correct power and enclosure?
