What wire size and fuse do I need for this

I am getting a Kinetic HC2000 coming in tomorrow evening. I'm not gonna be able to hook it up yet because I haven't ordered wire or fuses but that's alright because I have no use for it until I get my new amp in a few weeks...

My question is what size wire and what size fuse do I need? I'm running the power wire from the front battery under the hood to the second battery in my back seat area. About 6 feet I'd say, maybe 7. I'm assuming 1/0 AWG but I don't know what fuse size I should use.

The amp is a Taramps HD3000. This is what it says in the specs:

Musical Maximum Consumption @ 12,6VDC: 170 Amp.

Sinusoidal Signal Maximum Consumption @ 12,6 VDC: 340 Amp.

It's my understanding that you're supposed to fuse by the wire not the actual amp so I'm thinking 300a to 350a fuse?

You are going to use a amp that is very picky to keep from burning up and you don't even know the basics.

I just gotta keep the voltage between 12.6 and 14.4... Should be easy with the electrical I'm getting... I just need to know how to fuse stuff...

300a fuse...try it out. If it blows, go up to 350. Fuses are cheap

For 1/0 gauge wire, use a 350A fuse.
