It's all about the mirrors! I have a 52" RCA Scenium w/ DLP, have had it now close to 4 years, now problems at all. Excellent picture as well.

Why not a plasma? I love the panasonic. Got mine from BB for 999, Took back a LCD for it and I wouldnt go back. Guess if I was a gamer I would look else where. Best picture I have seen are the HD tubes but they take up a lot off room. I also have a JVC 32" HDTV. Thats the game tv.

I don't feel like 'breaking in' the TV for 100+ hours to reduce burn in/image retention...plus, I tend to leave a movie on and fall asleep, which causes the movie to go to the main menu when it's over, so it'll sit on the main menu for ~8 hrs or so. I also sometimes leave movies/games paused for a couple hours every now and then...
