What TV shalt I get?

Its only like 13" deep.
They also make a slim version, thats about 200 more. It looks a little better too imo. In terms of the casing and exterior, not the pq. And its about 10"

The depth really isn't a concern at all.

I'm reading up on that Samsung 4666W and it seems like a really good TV. Vanns has it for $1100 with free shipping and the Harmony remote, seems like a good deal.

From what I've been reading on various AV and Xbox360 forums, DLP seems like the way to go.

Yea thats what I found out too for the most part.

The 42" in that series has had very serious problems, but there have been none for the 46".

I really like the look of the slim version. I hope to pick it up after christmas.

hey cant go wrong with a samsung

ijust got a brand new 42'' samsung and it looks .

i decided to get samsung because my previous samsung has been working for 11 years and still working with out any problems

the samsungs are good because you dont have so much of a "RAINBOW" effect as in different TV's. They also have a good color wheel on them and the blacks are very well defined.

w00t got about $3000 today from my car insurance co. for my lost wages due to my car accident.

Probably going to head down to BB or PC Richards (local B&M around here) and check out the Samsung 4666w.

congrats man. When you observe the TV, watch it for a good 20 minutes or so. The one drawback to DLP TV's (which is becoming less and less prevelent and doesnt compare to the drawbacks in LCD TV's) is the rainbow effect. Because of the way DLP projects the image, some people end up seeing small rainbows in the picture. Again, this mostly depends on the TV itself and the person viewing it. In some scenes, certain viewers see rainbows while others do not. If you end up seeing what im talking about, then look at another equivilant tv and you may not even have the same problem their. With the new samsung line, the companies over on the avs forums for rainbow effect is minimal, if at all.

now you may think im crazy, but its the truth. Either way, DLP tv's are superior to LCD TV's and i hate that "pixel" effect.
