i have a rockford fosgate t8002 amp running my re audio se x 15 at 2 ohms bridged. i have a chance to sell it for $300. now what i need to know is db-r has the sundown 1000d for $247.50 and was wondering would that be better at 2 ohms than my current amp. i know sundown is good s*** so im thinking its gonna be a good deal. now i was also looking at the 3000 audiopipe amp to for $330 buy it now on ebay but not to sure what would be the best route. i just think my sub can take more than im giving it and would be louder with the sundown amp. my friend said the amp i have is fine just do the big 3 and get a good battery. i just dunno

at 2 ohms the sundown will put out 750ish. What is the rockford putting out now at 2 ohms bridged?? Do you have the birthsheet?

no i dont have the birth sheet but its suppose to be 800rms at 2 ohms. but will voltage drop its prolly 5-600 rms im guessing.

it's not that complicated. You probably won't notice any difference going with the sd amp. If you want to be louder, more power or better box design.

what's your car? alternator capability? if you're already voltage alot off 800watt, you won't be able to get louder without upgrading the electrical.

A rear batt is a nice start

its a honda civic hatch with a b18b swap and i think the alt is around 80 amps. i have 1 run of odd gauge and my batt up front. i have a batt for the back need to get it in there and do the big 3 and should be ok for now. just powering my 1 15 re so nothing to big. just wanted to know if it would be a smart idea to get rid of the rockford amp and try something else

I wouldn't do it just because of the simple fact you won't really see any difference in the 2 amp's. Maybe look into a Sundown 1500 since it's only like $350 from DB-R

i just have the $300 to work with really cuz rent and bills plus having kids is a lot of money so kinda like get rid of one and but another for the same price. any other amps for $300 that would be better than mine and decent quality. it has to be a 2 ohm stable amp or put out decent power at 2 ohms since my sub is a dual 4 ohm sub

its hard to find those t8002 so if i where u ,i would not sell it..but i know u want more power so u have to do whats needed..when u google t8002 for sale,u cant find anything..i purchased mines from sum1 in hawaii and i am still waiting on its arrival but mines will be used to run 4 ev's to 2ohms bridged..how many watts is the sub?

hey i just looked at your for trade thread with the t8002 and i can definetly say that u are running the wrong power wires by the look of the pictures..you should run 1/0 awg wire instead of what u already have ..power definetly makes a difference with the power wires..try changing your power and ground wire to 1/0 gauge wires and the big 3..
