So telling you how it is is being a douche? I left home at 18 with $1800 and I was back within three weeks. Hell I didn't move out till I was 23. $1500 at most will cover 3 months rent. Most places require a year lease. Where is the extra money going to come from? Whose paying your school?
ive got a part time job, and financial aid

save up at least 5k. Then you can start thinking about it. And while you're working on saving that money, find a place you think you would like to live. Take what the rent costs, add in cost for utilities, food, and everything else you will need to pay for out on your own, and figure up a monthly total.

then take that much out of your monthly net pay, and see if you can even drive to work on the money you have left. it's tough man.

thanks bro:)

seriously though... Living on your own is not cheap. $1500 will get you almost nowhere. Like to go out with the gf?? Aint gonna be money for that anymore. Like to but stuff every now and then? Nope gonna stop. Bills are due. Rent, water, electricity, gas, phones, cable....

Food, soap, shampoo, plates, cups, silverware, pans, TP, all that $hit adds up and in a hurry. Before you know it, you have spent $100+ at a grocery store...

i like answers like these:D

I'm amused at how this guy is being a brown eye to everyone supporting his pipe dream, but thinks that the rest of us that are realistic about life are being douche bags.
i do not think youre douche bags for being realistic, i think youre douche bags for being assholes

allright so here is what i did

I figred out EVERYTHING i do and use in month,

then payed that to myself in a seperate savings account, most banks will give you a free checking account to add money to online.

ok ,so add allllllllllllllll of your stuff , shoes you might of bought, socks, pretzels,a trip to mc donalds, house payment, electrical bill, water bill...etc

my monthly avg was about $1k for bills so I added 1k into a savings account. Then utilities were about $300, so we are at 1.3K, then add in groceries another 500 or so a month.

Then eating out money. Bascially find out what you spend your money on

When you do that for a little bit you will see if you can really make it on your own, during this time your saving account will grow and you will have that money
