What to do...to make a LOUDER street beater

Right now I have (1) 18" MT off 2 JBL 1200.1's, and I want to get louder. Right now it is loud with music but I want it to be painful when I listen to it. It is painful to people who aren't used to it already, but I listen to it everyday, and I am used to it now.

I want to do this by adding only subs. I am keeping my same amp setup, because if I add much more, I will have to spend more $ in electrical upgrades, which I don't have right now.

My first thought was to add another MT 18", so I would have 2 with one amp to each. I know they will be underpowered, but I heard they are very efficient. I also am thinking of using my Circuit City accomindations to get 4 12" L7's or 4 15" L5's. I could also get 4 type R 12"s for very cheap. I have an Isuzu Rodeo by the way, and I don't care about going over the window line. I will do subs up ports back.

What would you guys do? I am leaning towards the 2nd MT idea at the moment.

the adding another MT is a good idea, problem is you really won't have the power to do so, properly. If you could get a good 4000K watt amp, then that woud do them justice. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Now with those two amps, that will power the 4 L7 12's easily.

2nd MT is the more expensive route but probably the best one. Even if you don't have money right now...at least you'll have the best equipment and you could upgrade amps/electrical down the road. But you're right the MT's are really efficient and those 2 18's off the JBL's will be LOUD!

I am almost sure I can squeeze it all in there. I might have to fire the port up too since I will probably have to go all the way to the tailgate. I will just have to have the subs facing up very close to the roof. Its not that I will listen to it like that, I just want to make something that will be huge because it is fun. Oh and with CC accomidations the L7's will be waaaayyyy less then that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

You could do two SX's......maybe two 18's, they wouldn't need as much space or power and that would be **** loud.

edit- and if you sold the MT you wouldn't have to spend a ton of cash on the SX's.
