ok so i was driving home and blew my old skool re 8s what should i do nxt junk em and upgrade send them to somebody and make some Frankenstein woofer is so what options do i have with the re 8s as a rebuilt woofer?

id imagine that youd have to switch the motors out to get more powerhandling on them. simply changing softparts on it and maby adding a stiffer spider might bump it up another 50w or less. the thermal design wont be changing wich realley in effect is what causes death to subs - unless they tear apart or something mechanical like that.

but would it be worth trying to fit a new motor to that stamped steel basket ?

and then finding the soft parts to go with it..... by that time I think your in to $$$ better sub terratory alltogether

Unless something has changed recently, they were supplied by Audiopulse/TC and are no longer available. Very hard to find anymore. About as hard as an IDQ8.
