What to do: How to attach MDF side by side?

As replied above, glue and clamps. If the board will be seen (and not carpeted), i would recommend not using screws. They look like hell on an non-carpeted enclosure. Just lay a lot of glue, lay the boards square to each other, and clamp the hell out of it. Then, just clean up then ends with some sandpaper.

why not just get 1" mdf?

If the two subs are getting the same signal, why double it up in the first place. The pressure oneither side of that mid wall will be equal. Next question is why your design has the actual speaker baffle made out of two pieces? A single piece that runs all the way across the top of the box will make the finished product much stronger and flex resistant.

best i got right now, its a fairly old pic, will have more up when i (hopefully) do an attempt at my install this weekend.

Looks almost like mine as do the wheels. What kinda tires?
