What to do for HX2

I have 2 Rockford HX2 Power subs, dual 2ohm voice coil. 1000w rms 2000w peak. I would like to give these subs enough power to possibly win some small competitions. I haven't done anything with them yet they are still in the box. I got a 95 Neon, and would be putting it in the trunk. I would like to know what kind of an install, and what kind of amp(s) I would need, and how many Hz I would have to tune it too. I currently have a Power 1001bd rockford amp. I don't believe this will be enough to power the two subs, so I want to know what to do. Keep in mind this is all 2003 stuff, it's different from this years suff.

Could get 2 rf1500.1bd's and strap them for 3400rms @ 2ohms? (old RF amps, not the new ones)

Give them 1500-2000 RMS each for burps, 1.5 cubic ft. box per sub with 2 4" aeroports per sub tuned to around 45 Hz, and you will be loud.

Oh yeah if you can't give them that much power, then go with something like US Amps 2000X or Memphis Mojo and build as big a box as you can fit, big *** port, and 45 Hz or so tuning. Basically copy my box. (check SD site or gallery)

also, i'd suggest cutting a hole of some sort or taking out the rear speakers to let more sound get inside the cabin of the car...cuz thats where the meter is...

The seats don't fold down in my car. Should I have the subs facing towards the front or back of car, for max spl? So why tune it to 45Hz I've been hearing 30-33 other places. So the best bet is to put 2 1051 amps to it? Or should it be 2 1501bd? I don't want to totally cheap out but I'm not going to pay too much for a small gain of one over the other. But basically the 1001bd is of no use to me then?

I would tune the box to 45 ish if you are going for mainly SPL. Take out the rear speakers and anything you can out of the rear dash to let as much bass as possible in. I would face the subs and port either up or rearward. Go with as much port area as you can and build as big a box as you can. Go for at least 6 cubes after all displacements. If it is possible maybe buy another 1001BD and strap them together for 2200 or so watts at 2 ohms? If you can't strap them or whatever, then consider selling the 1001 BD and looking into something like Tsunami db1800, US Amps 2000X or Memphis Mojo. I would like to see you use 1000 RMS or so to each sub. Should get ungodly loud. That's about all I can tell ya, and deaden your trunk if possible.

Is there any way that I could set it up to have a larger port for competitions, and smaller for daily driving? Also I was wondering what it would take to be worried about your rear window? I have read posts of people cracking them and stuff, and I was wondering what it would take if your window was in fairly good condition.

Have no fear about your window. And make a pluggable port to plug some of the comp. port and tune it lower for daily.

could someone help me out here? RF HX2 power or RE, ID whats the differents ?
