Okay I was on my way home from work wangin as usual, all of a sudden I hear a snap/crackle/POP and then that stinky ol' burning smell.I fried my 4 ch. amp and don't know how.I checked the fuses on the amp and distribution block, they were fine. All connections were tight and intact to the amp. This amp was running a pair of 4x6's and 6x9's,it was also purchased on ebay as a store display model for like $37.99+shipping no warranty. The only thing that could have been the problem is when I checked my passenger side 6x9 wiring one section of it was electrical taped and the tape was missing exposing the -/+ wire which I believed they touched each other. If that was the case, why wouldn't any of my fuses blow to shut the amp off,or could it be that the amp was just a piece of shit and was ready to die anyway? What do you guys think??I'm really not even sweatin it,due to the fact it was used and cheap,Just trying to figure out what happened?
