So any time i go on hotmail i get this message. I know nothing about coms so please tell me if i have a problem. B

BTW it gives me the option to continue or stop running scripts

Uninstall any Java installations in your add/remove programs. Then reboot. Once your back at the desktop go to:

Download Java for Windows Firefox

And get the latest version and install. Should fix your issues.

so i need a different java for firefox than for IE?

They are different yes. Both will need to be updated if you use IE and FF. Usually the Java site automatically picks the version of Java for your browser. If you want to update IE you will have to open the Java page with IE and same concept goes for FF.

So i removed all java programs then downloaded the link you gave, and restarted my comp and when i went to hotmail, i got the exact same message

It actually happens whenever i go to leave hotmail. Anyway, time to sleep. If anyone has any more info on what this could be, please comment and i will checkin the morning when i get up.

I did a search for it and there are a ton of people having the issue with hotmail right now. Seems its an issue on their end. With FF try this:

Go to Tools > Options > Content Tab > Third check box down uncheck Enable Javascript. Close FF and then try to go back to Hotmail and see if it works.

I tried that, but without java i can't login to hotmail. It shouldn't cause any problems to my computer should it?
