What tape will stick to smooth plastic?

Im trying to stick the lining tape to a plastic surround so I can fiberglass... Ive tried masking tape, duct tape and painters tape. None of them stick AT ALL. What could I use?

yes the dust is cleaned out and yes its dry. Why wont anything stick?

go over it with some paint thinner, then use duct tape. should work.it must be because your surface is not clean enough?

Use aluminium HVAC tape. If you try and fiberglass over paper tape in that small place, it will make a mess. The foil tape will stick and not melt suring the curing process.

Or try regular ol aluminium foil.

used some gasoline and cleaned it out... the tape stuck! One layer down
