Get a beater! Like a Buell Blast, Ninja 500, Ninja 250, or older Yamaha Fizzers. Learn to ride on a smaller beater bike and spend your money on a better bike next summer.

You'll be a better rider and you won't have to buy new plastics when you drop it!

none of the above. I found an early 90's triumph i-ma buy for 3 g's this summer. It's gorgeous.

^^this....the only "sport" bike I would get is a ducati 1098 or the new 1198
