i just got my 10"L7 today and i built my first box to put it in. i was wonder what gauge speaker wire should i use for this sub. it will be powered by a hifonics bx605 which does 600 rms and 1ohm. i have a bunch of 16 guage laying around but would it be better for me to go with 12 gauge. and what is a better wire the twisted wire or just ur standard speaker wire

neither you or the sub will notice the difference

Chicken boy has it right, you may could even get past with something smaller. Just because your amp requires a big ground/batt wire does not mean the speaker wires have to be large, there have been many arguements on SD about this and it has been shown that in most every DD system 16awg speaker wire will suffice.
