What Sony amp to buy

best sony product I ever bought was an CDX-A10 cd changer back in 1989. It was a waterproof version made for jeeps, and the controller for it was mounted like a single din head unit or could be detached and be hand held. WAY ahead of its time. Survived a flood in my car at the time too.

Ive had plenty of low end stuff that holds up better than hi end stuff, But flood proof? Impressive..

yes, the changer was rare and I didnt even know it at the time. The front door of the changer had a rubber seal to keep the water out and all thruput connections on the unit were rubber booted as well. built like a brick shithouse man. The unit lasted for years...so long that the buttons on the controller were the only thing to fail, and I ended taking it apart and refurbishing the carbon contactors and got another year out of the unit.
