What router..

Well since my lady bought me a Ridgid table saw I was debating getting a Ridgid plunge router but I hear its there first model not sure if its any good. was also considering the Dewalt 618 plunge router. or a Milwaukee 5616 any input thanks

How much are you looking to spend?

I use a Milwaukee fixed base as a trim router, works fine, but I don't have any experience with their plunge models.

I dont mind spending money if its worth it you know? I know im a beginner at box building but would rather get somthing descent the first time. But around 200bucks or less.

Porter Cable, Ridgid, Bosch...all great, but trust me the $99.99 Ryobi plunge router will be just as good. I wouldnt say that about other Ryobi products but there routers are great.

I never much liked Dewalts, but every Rigid product I've ever used had worked great. Milwaukee makes good stuff too, but I'm partial to Rigid

Thanks hintyz only thing I have against the ridgid is I read some reviews and herd its a pain to adjust to plunge or whatever.

Porter Cable makes a great router...

I like my Freud and my Porter...

But I have a full time job in remodel...

You will get away with a Black and decker or ryobi considering its for occasional home use...
