What router (woodworking tool) do you use?

I'm looking into a porter cable or bosch as im about to go cut about 30 or 40 circles. any suggestions appreciated as long as youve had experience with it

Please dont say go with bosch without a model number

Please dont say go with porter cable without a model number

is there any other brand as good as these 2? If so a brand and model number would be great

I like my ryobi for the price. Its around 100 new and has a plunge base. Ive cut plenty holes with no problems. Not quite 20, but I think bits will be more important with that many holes.

I have a Makita RF1100. I got it in a kit for ~$250. I forget the kit name but I can get it if you are interested. Mine is 1.25 HP. I liked the controls a lot better. There is a soggle switch instead of button, etc.

Bought of the recommendation of my neighbor and editor-in-cheif and owner of Lightning Publications who print this magazine...

He calls companies, tells them he wants to review the tool, they send it to him, he reviews it, and more often then not he gives it to us 'cause he got more woodworking tools than Jesus and Joesph...

Porter Cable makes some good ish, id definetly use them even though i have a crapsman

I could try but no promises. You could try calling them, saying you saw there ad in American Router and see if they can give you some sort of discount. What set are you interested in though?
